Swap out your old halogen downlights with new LED ones has heaps of advantages:
1) Use less electricity – we replace old 35W or 50W downlights with 9W LEDs – 80% cheaper to run! 80% less carbon footprint
2) Reduce fire danger – we use LEDs that don’t run hot and can be safely covered by insulation. Many house fires have been caused by overheating halogen downlights. There is no fire risk with LEDs
3) Reduce your air conditioning and heating running costs – as our LEDs are happy and safe under your insulation, you no longer have areas in your ceiling uninsulated! Up to 30% of your ceiling may be uninsulated with halogen downlights, which means your aircon system works harder to keep your home comfortable. On top of that, LEDs are also a sealed unit so air can’t flow from the room into the roof space, and vise versa, which also helps keep the room insulated.
4) Brighter more consistent light – LEDs throw light on wider angles filling the room with more consistent light throughout, making the room brighter and more functional.
5) Cleaner – there are no holes or gaps that bugs can find their way into, no gaps to let ceiling dust fall into your room.
6) LEDs don’t blow globes like halogens. We use LEDs with a 4 year warranty so you can be guaranteed that nothing will blow for at least 4 years – if it does (hasn’t ever happened to us yet) we will replace it for you under warranty no problem at all!
